Motor, Pump & Apparatus Repair
State of the Art Facilities
Our technicians can repair any motor or pump from fractional through 1500 HP in either low or medium voltages.
Onsite Repairs
We can dispatch our experts to evaluate a problem and make repairs at your site.
Pickup & Delivery
Get the story on how we repaired panels, pumps, and motors in a tower in Lower Manhattan that were destroyed when Hurricane Sandy hit.
With our fleet of trucks and crane-equipped flatbeds we can retrieve equipment from your location, repair it in our shop, and then reinstall it.
APPARATUS SERVICES
We operate the largest and most modern apparatus repair facilities in New York State. We are experts in the rewinding and rebuilding of AC motors and DC motors, from a special servo motor to a 5000 HP induction motor. Our two repair shifts allow us to provide emergency turnaround to our customers. Our apparatus Repair Shop equipment includes 600 KVA AC testing through 4160 volts, 300 KVA DC testing through 700 volts, 60 KVA core loss testing, 15,000 lb. precision balancing capabilities, 20,000 lb. lifting capacity and a complete in-house machine shop. We are UL certified to repair explosion proof motors. We are also a factory authorized service and warranty center for all the major motor manufacturers, including ABB, GE, Reliance, Baldor, USEM, Marathon, Siemens, Toshiba and WEG.

MONITORING, TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIRS OF ELECTRICAL APPARATUS & OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS (EASA)
At Power-Flo Technologies, we offer complete monitoring, troubleshooting and repair of all types of industrial electrical equipment including controls, transformers, drives, electric motors, and other electrical systems. Capabilities include both field service and in-house repair or rebuilding of equipment and machinery. Field services such as vibration analysis, rebalancing, and specialized cleaning are designed to prevent costly repairs and corresponding downtime by properly maintaining equipment, minimizing the risk of failure. Our engineers can perform a site analysis to determine whether equipment is functioning efficiently and safely. If a fault does occur, we specialize in troubleshooting equipment using safe testing methods to determine the root cause of the issue. Winding faults are one issue that is routinely misdiagnosed by other electrical equipment service technicians. Typical testing methods are only able to recognize ground faults, which only represent approximately 5% of winding faults in electric motors. Most faults start out between windings in a coil, between the coils within a phase, or between coils in different phases. These faults are not detected through the standard Megohm Insulation testing method, but if left unchecked, will ultimately lead to a ground fault and motor failure. We are capable of testing unenergized motors to recognize these types of faults before failures occur, saving costs and preventing downtime.
