RAB's ever-popular ALED family of area lights has been engineered to be significantly thinner, lighter, and more sustainable. These new field adjustable area lights use far less material and is lighter weight, clocking in at 60% the weight of its predecessor and one-third the size!
They also now are offered in four different sizes, each with three field-selectable wattages to let you replace up to 1500W MH. In addition to being offered in distribution Types II, III, IV and V, the ALED is also available with a wide distribution and an intentional hot spot that helps deliver eye-catching light while also minimizing “backspill” towards the street. You can also eliminate light trespass with a low-profile, unobtrusive shield for all sizes that come with an attachable/detachable left and right sides.
IES Classification
Type II - Ideal for wide walkways, on ramps and entrance roadways, bike paths, and other long/narrow applications. This type is meant for lighting larger areas is usually located near the roadside.
Type III - Ideal for roadway, general parking, and other area lighting applications where a larger pool of lighting is required. It is intended to be located near the side of the area, allowing the light to project outward and fill the area.
Type IV - Also known as "forward throw", it is especially suited for mounting on the sides of buildings and walls, and for illuminating the perimeter of parking areas. It produces a semicircular distribution with essentially the same candlepower at lateral angles from 90° to 270°.
Type V - Produces a wide and uniform 360° pattern that is perfect for large outdoor areas such as parking lots and pathways.
Mounting Options
Universal Mounting Arm
Compatible for hole spacing patterns from 1" to 5 1/2" center to center. Round Pole Adaptor plate included as a standard. Easy slide and lock to mount fixture with ease. Round pole diameter must
be >4" to mount fixtures at 90° orientation.
Slipfitter Mount
180° pivot available for mounting on 2 3/8" tenon.
Wall Mount
The integrated 7-pin receptacle make this area light suitable for installation of a standard twistlock photocell.
